Hi all

I've just finished two new packages:
ciped-1.lrp (for floppy kernels)
ciped-1-ide.lrp (for IDE kernels, Dachstein-CD needs this!)
qos.lrp

CIPE:
I'm currently the maintainer of the CIPE package for LEAF. Some of you
reported crashes of CIPE. Etienne noticed me, that there is patch against
this crash on the CIPE homepage. I tried to patch my old package (1.4.6)
with no luck. I also wasn't able to compile 1.5.2 either. Because I was to
lazy to try it again with 1.5.2 and patch it etc etc (there is more than one
patch for 1.5.2), I tried the latest CVS snapshot. (1.6pre). And what
surprise: It worked! I checked the source by myself: This version is already
patched and should not crash anymore! Now the details:
Compiled with Kernel includes 2.2.19-3-LEAF (Dachstein)
Compiled with OpenSSL 0.9.6c (lastest)

The snapshot is dated: 20020325 (cipe-snapshot-20020325.tar.gz). The crypto
algorythm is Blowfisch 128bit.

QoS:
I created a QoS (Fair Queing) package for Dachstein. Because it's not
completely finished, this package does not appear in the lrcfg menu.
***Please edit /usr/sbin/qos.sh according to your internet speed***
There are only four values which you have to care about:
ETH_SPEED_UPLINK=10
ETH_SPEED_DOWNLINK=10
DOWNLINK=512
UPLINK=128
Everything is documented in the file itself (read the comments). The script
is completely plug&play and should fit most setups without changes. This
script does REALLY take effect! Now you can surf while downloading with
maximum speed, play Counter-Strike while down/uploadin without lags, upload
while downloading, ssh without lags while uploading/downloading etc etc.

IMPORTANT Note for all Dachstein floppy users:
Because QoS is not compiled into the dachstein.small kernel, you'll have to
use the normal kernel! Also the modules (sch_cbq.o, sch_sfq.o and cls_u32.o)
are from the dachstein-normal tree.

F-normal.zImage.upx

I hope the new CIPE helps all those people who have buggy CIPE tunnels.

I'd suggest to everyone to try out the QoS package. It cool. I'm very happy
with it.
