Probably the cause for your dnsmasq pb's. No /var no dnsmasq.leases file for dhcp > not sure why. I used the same config files from a running machine. I doublechecked - the iso and floppy disk images generate provides /var etc; the same on my production router which runs usually the latest lrp's.
