this is more an upgrade issue than a portability issue. Every single package 
has been successfully built before with uClibc (0.9.28 at that time).

For various reasons I liked the move to a 2.6 kernel, a new uClibc version and 
I'm in the need for updated packages as well.

I expected problems (a lot more than we actually had) when core packages get 
an overhaul; and I would expect similar problems when one upgrades to a glibc 
version two versions younger than one is running.
