Hi,

I successfully migrated from -beta1 to -beta2 about a week ago (actually
re-installed from scratch and re-applied all the config manually to
check I had it all documented properly).

I am using Bering-uClibc_4.0-beta2_i486_syslinux_vga.tar.gz on a Compaq
EN SFF PC.

Just a few minor/cosmetic issues:

1. The contents of modules.tgz have UID/GID 1000/1000 rather than 0/0.
Perhaps buildimage.pl was not run using "fakeroot"?

2. We still have some "Feb %_d 15:38:58" entries
in /var/log/shorewall-init.log and /var/log/shorewall6-init.log
Should we upgrade to 4.4.16.1 ?

3. Webconf "General Health" has some errors for "Memory Utilization" and
"Memory Capacity":
      /bin/sh: divide by zero
      /bin/sh: set: line 71: illegal option -/
Annoying but not a show-stopper.

Trac tickets #8 (apkg update) and #25 (tcpdump segfault) are now closed
so #18 (daemontools) is the only open "defect".
Personally I think some work on #13 (enhancements to hwdetect script)
would be good before formal release of 4.0.

My vote is to push for -rc1 (rather than -beta3) as the next release.
with only bug-fixes for the formal 4.0, unless we think that moving cvs
-> git warrants a further beta. That would mean postponing #14 (x86_64
kernel) until 4.1.
