HI all;

the IMHO major goal for a 5.1 version is a unified kernel for current images
(i486, i686, geode, x86_64) and raspberry pi (as a real device to proof
cross-compiling instead of arm-versatile, which was more a proof-of-concept
with no real hardware).

With the latest commits to the rpi-branch, I'm able to boot into a raspberry
pi box. And as you may know or not, it has been a long journey to get create a
kernel config etc. that works.

I'm currently improving the docs for the "hardware specific guides" chapter in
the "5.x Developer Guide" so I remember what has to be done. Currently it's
based on reworking a SD flashed with raspian (which means it does have two
partitions, one we bgoot from, and one with all the remaining lrp's).

Anyway, I think we are a major step closer to 5.1.

Remaining todo's:
- improve rpi experience (get rid of the second partition, document, move wiki
pages to User Guide)

- test if a 3.10 kernel works for i486/i686/geode

- review needed package updates

- review kernel config

Anyone who is interested to help, the rpi branch should be a good start.

thx kp
