That sounds good.

Just to understand:

Is "sources.tgz" meant as example like "linux-3.10.47.tar.gz" or do you refer 
to a tgz file that conatins *all* sources in one file?

It will be easier to maintain  to keep the source files seperatly and to 
provide/build a  complete tgz in one file  in the FRS if SF requires that.
