I've been asked to put together an architecture for an Irish group who are interested in a community wireless solution. One area I could do with some help is for a remote wireless repeater to extend the reach.
This takes me into two areas of which I have little or no experience: building an appliance and solar power. The repeater will be **remote** and will need to have its own power supply. I have heard of solar power units, but have no experience. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, I'll need a hardware device for it to run on. I was interested in the OpenBrick but I'll need two wireless cards (directional aerials will mean separate in-out cards) and from what I could see it has only a single PCMCIA slot. Does anyone have any suggestions? Adrian ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SlickEdit Inc. Develop an edge.
