Sorry I didn't mention these early enough to be looked at for rc3, but
I noticed the following two issues (may not even be problems in rc2!).

1) syslinux.cfg on bootdisk.bin has "boot=/dev/fd0,msdos"
According to the docs, that should read "boot=/dev/fd0:msdos"

2) backup doesn't work quite right.
I'm using a floppy boot with CD on hda (almost completely unmodified).
I used the lrcfg backup and set most packages to "none" and on three
(etc, dhclient and modules) I set the device to the floppy and the backup
type to "part".  When I did a "L" (backup except logs), it tried to backup
everything (including the "none" packages).  Then when I tried to backup
one package at a time, it complained of a device not existing or being
invalid (sorry, as important as it is, I forget the exact complaint!).  Then
when I retried it worked.
Could this be caused by item 1)?
