And now for something completely different. A satisfied user! I have been using Charles' LRP images for over a year. Today I updated to Dachstein RC1 with good success.
The only problem I had was not realizing that the drivers have changed since Eiger and that the eepro100 driver now needed the pci-scan module. Yes I did find it in the modules file, but did not see it at first. Once I figured that out, everything worked great. (You might want to warn folks about changes like that.) My other problem was forgetting to turn off the browser proxy when trying to read the status via the firewall weblet. (Duh!) That might be a good warning as well. One final comment. I noticed that the ip_masq_xxx modules are no longer in the modules config file. Don't know where they went. But since the h323 module is included by default, I guess I don't need to know right now. Thanks Charles and those on this list for all of your time and effort to share your work with everyone. It is very much appreciated. I have been recommending your software to anyone that asks. Greg Buchanan PS: My system is an HP Vectra XM2, 486/100Mhz, 20MB RAM. I use the built-in LAN (lance based) and an HP/Intel PCI 10/100 LAN (eepro100 driver). My Internet access is @home in the SF Bay area. _______________________________________________ Leaf-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user
