It will work on any interfaces you can add multiple IP's to.

It is parsed by the if_up script in network.conf, and executes:
  ip addr add <addr> dev <dev>
For each extra address

There arn't many, other than your firewall has another IP.  This needs to be
accounted for if you plan on doing anything with it (ie let packets to that
IP through the firewall), and you can't assign that IP to other devices on
the same network...nothing out of the ordinary.
