As a general rule, configuration files residing under /etc exist to manage configuration of your system. Unfortunately, there is *no* standard ;< If you want to modify your system to use some other nic, then edit /etc/modules, then backup the modules package and reboot . . . I suppose that I missed your earlier series of posts -- what is the problem that you're experiencing?
