I've found that using older NICs is generally your best bet if using a consumer DSL or Cable connection. You'll probably never saturate the 10 Mb/s offered by them and you can avoid all the potential Driver related pitfalls (different chipset revisions etc). At home I'm using 2 old 10 Mb NICs that have ports for AUX, BNC, and Cat 5 - and they work wonderfully. Unfortunately I've never seen a version of the 3c905 driver from 3com that was compiled for LEAF/LRP...
