With respect to the entry in syslog about an Intersil PRISM2 card being
found... I had this problem early on as well.  I think it was related to
having entries in the first field for the card referencing MAC address
ranges.  When I tried *,*,*,* I _think_ I solved the Intersil problem.
I recall a mention, perhaps from Bob Pocius, of the Lucent card not
liking the MAC reference.  I'm far from being sure that this would solve
that minor problem, but you might look into it.  I suspect the proper
entry is skipped because of this, finally settling on the Intersil
(which might be the last one using orinoco_cs?).  I don't have any
configuration available to me right now so this is all from memory :-(

I think Jacques has answered the other problem with respect to removing
the 'auto' entry for the device.

The 'some things may be broken' warning shows up on my system too, but
doesn't seem to be a problem.
