I know there was quite a discussion a while back on wireless pcmcia and bering with several posts today about pcmcia today. In the one example /etc/init.d/pcmcia. I changed the line: RCDLINKS="2,S13 3,S13 4,S13 5,S13 6,K87" to: RCDLINKS="S,S13" is what I have done for quite awhile as this allows the pcmcia interface to be up and running before any network scripts run. The only other thing I do is add a sleep 4 to the modutils to allow the pcmcia to completely come up before any PCI network cards on a conventional box. I also do this on the Dachstein release.
