That machine has a Databook chipset using the tcic module. FWIW I set up a second machine today using WISP and am getting the same results. This one has a Ricoh chipset and uses the i82365 driver. I've noticed that if I ping either of these machines from my laptop (standard Debian + wlan-ng driver) the mac address of the laptop shows up in the arp table of the WISP box. If I ping from any of the WISP boxes nothing shows up at the laptop or the other WISP box. Since this happens with 2 boxes now there must be something I'm doing wrong, either that or maybe something odd with the version of hostap being used. I'll try to see if I can get both the older and current hostap drivers going on one of my working boxes just to see what happens.
