Almost surely NO. Normally, your IP address is assigned as part of the ppp 
handshaking process, not after that by DHCP (which is what pump handles). 
It is always *possible* that your ISP uses some oddball system, so no one 
except it can say NO with 100% certainty ... but a ppp system that needed 
pump would be extremely unusual.
