There are patches, and they're at http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/bering/rc2/patches/ for Berign 1.0-RC2. I whipped up some quick shell scripts that do much of the work--including downloading the sources, verifying the pgp signatures, and applying the patches--when I was building orinoco_cs.o v0.11b modules. They are a bit rough so I haven't posted them yet, but I would be happy to if you (or anyone else) is interested.
