Thank you for your reply. I neverintended to back up all of the files in the ramdisk, just the .lrps and such. i.e., to mount -t msdos /dev/hda1 /mnt and then copy everything from the /mnt directory to another machine. Since I'm doing this from a Windows machine, I found WS_FTP, and it does quite nicely.
