I have not heard of any USB modem support other than the Alcatel
SpeedTouch USB, and I could not get that to work.  Fortunately, you ought
to be able to obtain an ethernet based DSL modem instead.

Sounds like the specs for Bering.

Bering also handles PPPoE client, and DHCP client.  Read both the
Installation Manual and the User's Guide to learn more.
