I tried to compile my own kernel 2.4.20 with all the IDE support i could
add ;-) and i got another error instead:
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
UMSDOS: msdos_read_super failed, mount aborted
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:00

Then i tried Bering 1 stable with kernel 2.4.18 - and everything worked
fine.

Anyone got an idea what could be wrong ?

Thanks,
J.
