I use the linux kernel bridging.. which does layer 2 bridging between
interfaces.  you create a bridge, and then attach interfaces to it.

this should work with the 2.4 (bearing, WISP-dist) as long as the bridge.o
module is loaded and brctl is available.. (i know WISP-dist works)
