I was reading an article today and ultimately came accross this nifty tool for monitoring network traffic based on type of traffic. Nice for realling finding out what is going accross (ie napster, nntp, smtp, etc..)
http://www.caida.org/tools/utilities/flowscan/ It reads like it is intended for use with cisco routers, but perhaps it could be used to monitor traffics over a LEAF distro.
