Hello everyone, I'm suffering an intriguing problem (at least for me!): from some day ago I'm having problems reading my mails. What does that have to do with Leaf? If I bypass the firewall and connect my PC directly to the Internet the problems disappear. There's no packets from the POP3 server being blocked at the firewall.
I'm using Bering 1.0rc3. The disk is almost as I've downloaded it, except that I have 3 network cards at the firewall PC (two for the internal networks and 1 connected to the Internet). The sequence is as follows: My mail client connects to the POP3 server, autenticates and asks for new mail without problems, but when tries to get the mail, the data never arrives and after some time the mail client aborts the connections complaining about a timeout. What follows is a log of a communication with a POP3 server as seen from my PC: SEND: <connect> RECV: +OK GMX POP3 StreamProxy ready <1968.1043943407@mp007-rz3> SEND: USER <hidden_user> RECV: +OK May I have your password, please? SEND: PASS <hidden_password> RECV: +OK mailbox has 1 messages (1156 octets) SEND: STAT RECV: +OK 1 1156 SEND: LIST RECV: +OK mailbox has 1 messages (1156 octets) RECV: 1 1156 SEND: RETR 1 RECV: +OK message follows RECV: <timeout> SEND: <disconnect> I have the same problem with all my accounts. The POP3 servers of the different accounts are on different routes and are all working. But the problem is the same. My ISP says that is not his fault because the mail can be read with a direct connection, and that it must be a configuration problem in the firewall. The kid of the question is that the Leaf configuration I'm using is the same of the last 12 months and that it worked until some days ago and then never again... Anyone suffered this problem before? Is there anything I can do? What I should look for? (and how should I do it, please. I'm quite a newbie) Should I ask something to my ISP? What should I suggest him to look for? Well, that's all I think. Any advice will be appreciated!
