Some ISPs block the NetBIOS info that Windows PCs spew out. But I would guess that this isn't exactly the best thing to count on. It is also likely that the ISP would frown on a user multihoming the NIC like this - as many users end up doing strange things, like running a DHCP server that gives invalid (non-routable) IPs to other customers....at least it happened quite a few times when I worked at an ISP.

Note that doing this with a Win32 box will also spew LAN network information out the external interface. I wouldn't do it unless I would have a desire to have my entire network compromised by a 10 year old.
