Hi.
I've got an Advantech board with a 4M doc on it. I had linux on it, and
all was well. I decided to add an additional HD to the mix, and realized
that I had to use the M-Systems DFORMAT command to instruct the doc to
stay as the first disk (normally, it wants to be the last). This is
destructive to the data on the doc (my version does not obey the
/NOFORMAT switch)
I saved all of my packages off to floppies, ran DFORMAT, booted a
generic LEAF floppy, copied all of the doc related modules to
/lib/modules, and insmod'ed them. Next, I mounted the doc and copied all
of my configured packages back and attempted to use syslinux to have it
boot from the doc again. Syslinux gives a segmentation fault. I tried
another copy of syslinux (actually several, from different machines) and
either get the seg fault, or an 'error loading shared libraries' error
(undefined symbol: pread).
It seems LEAF does not come with syslinux. Does anyone have a version
of syslinux that is either statically linked, or the correct version to
run in LEAF 1.1 (2.4.20)?
Thanks for all of your help.
Christopher
