AFAIK the Intel Anypoint DSL Modem 3240 uses a Globespan chipset. There is one linux driver written for this chipset used on eci modems: http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/index.php?lang=en but I do not know if it will work with the intel modem. Also I am not sure this driver will compile easily for Bering (gcc>=2.91.66 is required).
