can I take the weblet.lrp with the lrpstat.jar from dachstein and load it directly into Bering 1.2?
You probably want to use a weblet package created for Bering. The main difference will be the CGI scripts that provide you with information. With the differences between Dachstein and Bering (especially in the firewall rules setup), you should use the CGI programs tuned to the distribution you're running.
You can, however, copy the lrpStat.jar file from Dachstein, or from Martin Hejl's page (URL below). In fact, you don't even have to have the .jar file on your LRP box...you can copy the java applet directly to one (or more) of your internal systems, saving a not insignificant amount of space on your LRP boot media. Again, refer to Martin's page for detailed documentation and installation instructions.
Info on properly installing and configuring lrpStat is available on Martin Hejl's page: http://rd.mailshell.com/www.leaf-project.org/devel/hejl/
