Dacstein allows ftp sent from a passive internal network client to an FTP server on the Internet
Bering fails using the same LEAF box, clinet machine and remote server.

PWD 257 "/www" is current directory. sending 010.jpg as 010.jpg (1 of 1) TYPE I 200 Type set to I. PASV 227 Entering Passive Mode (199,x,y,z,36,241). connecting to 199.x.y.z:9457 - - connecting to 199.x.y.z:9457 Connected to 199.x.y.z port 9457 STOR 010.jpg 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for 010.jpg ! Send error: connection reset Transmitted 18944 bytes in 165.5 secs, (1144.87 bps), transfer failed ! Receive error: Blocking call cancelled
The same transfer under dachstein - same software - same hardware - works every time.
* * * * Here is what the router periodically dumps to the screen
ip_conntrack: max number of expected connections 1 of ftp reached for 192.168.1.101->199.x.y.z 0, reusing ip_conntrack: max number of expected connections 1 of ftp reached for 192.168.1.101->199.x.y.z 0, reusing
I HAVE MASKED the IP of the remote FTP server using x.y.z
* * * * could it be a network card (driver) problem?
possile mtu problem?
shorewall rules allow a few DNATs for incomming - otherwise it follows the "instructions."
Any ideas?
