Good day to all: As the subject might imply, I am trying to get an IPSec wireless VPN up and running on my Bering 1.2 box. Before this venture, the Bering box (ice) served as a dial-up router/firewall for my home lan. A little background info:
ice 192.168.1.99 voodoo 192.168.1.1 hex 192.168.1.3 hijinx 192.168.1.69 Alright. hijinx is my wifi router; since ice does all of the work, it's more of an access point with 4 wired ports. It's on the same interface (eth0) as the rest of the lan. voodoo's my main (wired) win2k workstation, and hex is my win2k (wifi) laptop. I've followed the Bering User's Guide to a tee, as well as the Shorewall instructions for IPSec. I've read the interop docs at FreeS/WAN. I've googled myself blue. In short, I have tried to make all attempts at RTFM before posting here. It seems as if I've tried every possible permutation of settings with no positive results. On the Windows side, I'm simply greeted with "Negotiating IP Security" ad infinitum. On the Bering side, I have no clue if it's actually working or not. Has anyone gotten this particular (and peculiar) setup to work? And if so, I throw myself on your mercy.
