I've lately also tried to compile binaries linked against uclibc. I found it
too difficult to find out, how to set up a build environment, however I
found a very useful toolset: uclibc-toolchain, which is a debian package
containing some wrapper scripts around the normal gcc compiler and other
stuff.

Anyways, with that package and the development uclibc package installed,
compiling binaries for uclibc is as easy as normal compilation:
'i386-uclibc-gcc beep.c -o beep' works.

I've also built a beep.lrp package based on beep 1.2.2, however I don't know
how/where to upload it. So if someone can point this out...
