sounds like the same symptoms with ssh connection failures:As mentioned, weblet is running correctly, which depends on hosts.allow, too. I don't see problems there...
I checked against NOT Allowing local net to connect. Then the response from telnetd takes half a second longer and weblet "contains no data".
Have you tried connecting with netcat (nc)?
Yes, same symptom... no connection (netcat 192.168.1.1 23)
