ditto, i allways used to do this. 
in the old releases i made a /mnt/disk /mnt/floppy
and fstab entrys to match

and made sure the /mnt was excluded in the root backups, to avoid doing
this again.

i think ??? maybee ??? the /mnt is included in the exclusion as default
nowadays..
