I'm having a little trouble getting snmpd to work correctly. I've installed the following packages on my Bering uClibc box:
libm.lrp libsnmp.lrp snmpmibs.lrp netsnmpd.lrp netsnmpu.lrp A ps -aux shows that snmpd is running so that's good, but I can't query anything from it. I set up /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf exactly as it is shown in the documentation on http://leaf.sourceforge.net/doc/guide/bk05ch13.html (I changed the community name of course). Since I have the netsnmpu.lrp installed, I thought that I'd be able to snmpwalk from the localhost. This is what I ran: snmpwalk -v2c -m ALL -c airwired -O vq localhost I don't get any output or any error messages. I think my problem lies with the snmpd.conf file, but I'm not really sure what else to change. Does anyone have a working copy that they'd be willing to share? Or do I have another problem? -- Joe Nelson Air Wired [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.airwired.net ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
