I noticed when I started using Bering uClibc 2.2.2 there was a new menu
choice under System (Main menu choice 2), which was something to the
effect of global system settings, or global system variables (for
experts only).

Within the file, it provided a couple examples of the variables that
could be set, but I did not see any other documentation about this new
feature. I'm very much intrigued by this feature because I set up
multiple firewalls, and if I can do more things using global/system
variables, I could standardize my configurations (separating the
configuration data, from the configuration commands per se).

Is there any documentation of how to use this new option? What
variables/settings can be defined? Can user-defined variables be created
within it, or are they preset according to system configuration? If
there is some documentation, I just need to be pointed to it.

If I blatantly overlooked existing documentation, I'm sorry for wasting
your time. I did try to look around for it on the firewall system, on
the LEAF website, LEAF documentation, and I've been reading the postings
to the LEAF user list for the past couple months.

Thanks for any assistance,
Brad
