There is a very unixlike way to do it. No need for ssh/telnet/ftp:

send:    tar cp /tmp/shorewall_stats.pl |nc 192.168.x.x 51330
receive: netcat -vlp 51330 | tar xvp

this syntax may not fit to your system ;), but should give a hint ;).
