Perhaps I didn't made myself quite clear.
As already said, the 2.4.26 modules tarball doesn't contain pci-scan.o or rtl8139.o (the last instance of the modules appeared with 2.4.24).
For more help we need to know what LEAF version you use and what media you boot from.
Bering uClibc 2.2.3 (upgrading from 2.1) on floppy disk. But neither the 2.2.3 floppy image nor the ISO contain the two modules. About 2 years ago they disappeared from the images and were left only in the modules tarball.
Maybe I could get the modules from the sources of any 2.4.24 Linux kernel and try to compile them under 2.4.26.
