I've been using a couple 4-port (DEC I think) NICs in a couple systems with the tulip driver for a couple years, starting with Bering 1.2 and moving on to the later Bering uClibc releases (but not 2.3 yet). I could get VLANs to work somewhat between one system, using uClibc 2.2.3 with stock drivers, and some managed switches, but problems similar to that described with MTU issues were observed. We tried adjusting Shorewall rules to allow proper processing of ICMP messages, but things still didn't work right, so we don't know if we got it right or not, or if there were still NIC/driver issues.
Has anyone gotten a Gigabit NIC running VLANs on a recent LEAF Bering uClibc release with stock drivers? I'm looking for recommendations on what to try. - Alex ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the JBoss Inc.
