Hi,

I want to add virtual interfaces, like eth0:0, eth0:1, etc... that have a different network and mask as my current addresses.

Can those be added in the /etc/network/interfaces file? How do I configure ip aliases in the interfaces file?

Or should I add them through shorewall?

I tried adding IPs to shorewall's nat file, but that doesn't add the correct netmask.

Of course, I can do it manually via ifconfig, but if I do it that way, in which file should I add the ifconfig commands?

Thanks
Ricardo
