Dear maintainters and developers,
may I suggest that in the two new options of lrcfg
the words be changed to better reflect their
purpose. Perhaps something similar to
1. Which configurations did change since last
save was made?
2. Which configurations have changed from their
distribution state?
The present phrasing "Configuration changed ..."
does not well enough reflect that they only test
the status of all configuration files. There are
some esthetically less satisfactory layout
decisions within the web interface, but I will
construct a patch for them and contribute it with
time.
Secondly, I'd like someone responsible to check
whether dnscache.lrp really works as expected.
It did not run out of the box for me, and even
when pressing "start" it complained of either
already be running or being misconfigured. I used
the diskette version, only later adding dnscache.
Hopefully I will not receive 186 answers on this
precise point!
In the search function of the Changelog-page of
Bering uClibc. The outcome is a defective
xml-page. I tried a search for "dnscache" and
"dncmasq". Both deliver the same defect:
<dt><a href="#CHANGELOG .... </a><dt>
where the closing tag </dt> is misprinted. These
occur on line 593 and 485, respectively.
As I final remark. I undertook the venture of
translating at least everything on the basic
web interface to swedish, but I dear say that
the relevant jots of text seem to be spread
all over the system configuration. A most
unfortunate state of affairs.
