Dear All, immediately upon entering the setup command lrcfg of Bering, I encounter the two options
c) Configuration changed since last save, d) Configuration changed from distribution. I do not think they are phrased well enough, simply because I misunderstood their meaning the first time. As they stand written I thought they would contain some action to physically store my settings on diskette, in addition to do some checking. Instead they are purely diagnostic tools, which I learnt with time. Therefore it should be better to phrase the wording in a way that clearly display them to be supporting function to determine whether the present configuration ought indeed be saved using the action "s) Save config". I could think of many ways to achieve this. One way would be to use a question. Two suggestions out of a sleave are "Did configuration change since last save?" and "Check if configuration changed since last save." These are not optimal, but they would have prevented my misunderstanding. Of course my remarks are only nitpicking. I have used Bering LEAF for less than a week by now, but I am so pleased with it that I do care that its use be eased and cleansed of all pitfalls I can find. While writing this I realise that had the two commands contained "changes" instead of "changed", but otherwise identical, I would have understood their meaning correctly. It is the use of an inflected verb that did upset my understanding.
