The most I've used is 6 ports, but you shouldn't run into any issues with 8. Just get 2 quad-port cards (or any other combination that fits in the available expansion slots). I'd recommend PCI (or PCIe) cards only...no ISA, or you can run into issues with overlapping I/O ranges, and the module loading could get pretty ugly. Some ISA card drivers also don't gracefully support multiple cards per system...pretty much all PCI drivers work with multiple cards. - -- Charles Steinkuehler [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHQ1izLywbqEHdNFwRAtreAJ4jwoWE47iJCyXYu/XEJZosWmSz+wCfcYpQ UVdlbvF/8pU34EDp6d9eTgo= =07Z7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
