I have no doubt about that. The configure script that comes with that
version of mysql is rather broken, as far as cross-compiling is concerned.

If I understand the issue correctly, everybody who is trying to compile
that source on a system that is an ntpl-only system (which would most
likely be all recent distros). Some may still have that header file, for
compatibility reasons, but most recent ones will not. But I could be
wrong - I don't need mysql support on the boxes I have to support, so I
never spent time on trying to get it to compile. I was simply trying to
help you solve the issue you're seeing.
