As mentioned on this page
http://www.dnsdynamic.org/api.php
they use a protocol "dyndns2" which seems to be the current protocol of
dyndns.org.

Some years ago I created a package dyndnsup.lrp which uses wget to call the API
of dyndns.org and no-ip.com. It is a simple shell script
/etc/ppp/ip-up.d/dyndnsupdate with a configuration file
/etc/default/dyndnsupdate. The script is called when a PPP connection is up
which is appropriate for my DSL connection. Currently the script expects the
dynamic DNS server to use the IP address where the API call comes from.
You can use this as a base to create your own script for http://dnsdynamic.com/.
My script does not check if the IP address really changed, so it might not
conform to the usage policies of the dynamic DNS providers. But normally the
script is called only once or a few times per day, so this should not be a real
problem.
