Hi Josh, Thanks for reporting the behaviour you're seeing. I don't think (m)any people are using Samba on 5.x, but it's meant to work…
I feel some degree of ownership for the various NAS and SAN Packages so let me take a look and see if I can reproduce the error or find any clues.
