Hello, Trying to install a SMCWN6401C wlan0 into alix2d3 MB using leaf Bering-uClibc_5.0.3_geode_syslinux_serial.tar.gz and following the "Bering-uClibc 5.x - User Guide - Advanced Topics - Setting Up a Wireless Access Point" (the "Guide"). Everything seems to work. Both my iPad and laptop were able to authenticate with WPA but cannot access the Internet via eth0? eth1->eth0->Internet okay!
# ifconfig wlan0: wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0F:A2:00:0F:9B inet addr:192.168.0.254 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::20f:a2ff:fe00:f9b/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:274 errors:0 dropped:1 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:116 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:22917 (22.3 KiB) TX bytes:15627 (15.2 KiB) /var/log/dmesg: ath5k phy0: Atheros AR5213A chip found (MAC: 0x59, PHY: 0x43) ath5k phy0: RF5112B multiband radio found (0x36) /var/log/daemon.log: firewall hostapd: wlan0: STA b8:e8:56:74:1a:da IEEE 802.11: authenticated firewall hostapd: wlan0: STA b8:e8:56:74:1a:da IEEE 802.11: associated (aid 1) firewall hostapd: wlan0: STA b8:e8:56:74:1a:da RADIUS: starting accounting session 386D43B6-00000000 firewall hostapd: wlan0: STA b8:e8:56:74:1a:da WPA: pairwise key handshake completed (RSN) firewall dnsmasq-dhcp[2844]: DHCPDISCOVER(wlan0) b8:e8:56:74:1a:da firewall dnsmasq-dhcp[2844]: DHCPOFFER(wlan0) 192.168.0.214 b8:e8:56:74:1a:da firewall dnsmasq-dhcp[2844]: DHCPREQUEST(wlan0) 192.168.0.214 b8:e8:56:74:1a:da firewall dnsmasq-dhcp[2844]: DHCPACK(wlan0) 192.168.0.214 b8:e8:56:74:1a:da iPad The only thing differ from the Guide is that I don't have module led-class loaded as the led-class.ko.gz module is not in the modules.tgz file? Q1. Is led-class needed for wlan0 to work? Q2. Am I missing something else? Cheers!
