I read the above article and tried both rootdelay=3 and rootwait. These two 
parameters don't work with the alix2d3 board. usb_wait=2 didn't work after six 
hours or rebooting. To be safe; use usb_wait=3; it works. Andrew's comment 
(next thread) was probably the reason why usb_wait works.
