Yes.  Everything is entirely different.
Things that have changed and continue to change include

sites and organizations doing the measuring of the input data
technologies used to measure input data
quality of the input data
communication of those input data from the measurement sites to Paris
computing facilities
physical models of earth core, mantle, crust, atmosphere, ionosphere
algorithms
people in charge
people doing the calculations
organizational structure
