Jamie-
As, perhaps, the only (or at least one of the few) "marketing guys" on
this list, I want to agree with Adrian - this is great. I think it
conveys a very good, clean image.
There was a suggestion of building a "standard, corporate" color scheme
to go with it and make sure we have that available - it's a huge
timesaver for a corporation trying to tie in with OpenWrt (which I think
we would like to see happen - like Buffalo, but even more) and
encourages a uniform "brand experience."
It would be good to put all this (including "source," preferably as SVG)
on the website in a "brand" section under an "About OpenWrt" section.
Today on OpenWrt.org, there's a "Trademark policy" section, which is
useful, but incomplete without an artistic usage guide and links to
downloads.
My 2 cents worth,
Bill

Keeping the name after remerge but with a new logo, helps convey the notion

An modernizing the look is great

Tried that Moritz - it just wouldn’t work unfortunately. Neither does adding
the antenna afterwards
All - see another set of designs. I’ve opted for Roboto Condensed as the logo
typeface.
Personal favorite is the green as OpenWrt is targeted towards low-power devices.

What’s the next step here? John - could this be added to the remerge proposal
v3?

See another iteration, with:
- correct capitalisation
- antenna to the side (will not work with lowercase ’n’)
- open sans typeface (open source)
- mockups of website header
- accent colours

Hi,
First of all, I’m glad to hear the process of remerging LEDE with OpenWrt is
moving forward.
For what it’s worth, if prefer the LEDE name (it’s friendlier - ‘leddy’ - and
not tied to the name of an old router!)
However, it seems the consensus is that the OpenWrt name should remain. I
thought that maybe we should take this opportunity to at least give the project
an updated look?
Maybe a new logo? I’m personally not one for mascots, so I had a quick go at a
few simple text-based designs:

What are you thoughts?
