Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm really not interested in switching from MacPorts to Homebrew just at the moment, nor in attempting to get both of them to play nicely together on the same system. I really would like to be able to just check out the source from GitHub and build it. I perhaps should have mentioned that I had this working before, but due to a hard drive replacement and an incomplete TimeMachine backup, I lost my previous copy of the repository, so I'm having to start over from scratch.
