Based on my studies and profiling, it seems to be relatively consistent at
approx 2-3 seconds, in 1.3, per page load.
Interestingly if I just try to run as is under Starlet performance goes
through the floor (6 sec + per pageload). but if I pre-load the expensive
modules in my .psgi file, it goes down to under a second in 1.4 (should be
similar under 1.3). There is probably room for more tuning than this but
this is where I have gotten so far.
